Geometry Class – 8-22-12

It’s Sketch Challenge time here at Stamp School!  I came up with an easy sketch and a CAS card.  I just am happy with clean and simple cards!

Here is the sketch;

And, here is my card;

See the fun button?  Quickly, 3 punched circles- glue together, punch 2 holes — holding button with tweezers in the holes (leaves holes open that way) – emboss with clear embossing powder.  I absolutely LOVE self made buttons! — So easy to have the exact match in color for anything you make!

Have fun with the sketch!  Remember you have until August 31st at 11:59 pm to play along. We’ll pick one winner to get a really great prize package!

Thanks for stopping by~

Geometry Class – 05-09-12

Hi Everyone – Vicki here today with the Geometry Class sketch.

Here is my card using Stamp School’s Christian Sympathy and Natural Landscape.

To achieve this look, I made a template the same size as my card, and cut out a circle.

Using Pop Tone Lemon Drop and Pop Tone Orange Fizz, I sponged inside of the template. Then, I stamped my tree.

Taking a post it, I taped it down and sponged on licorice for the ground.
I made my banner and popped up the image with pop dots, and my card is complete~

This is a sketch challenge, so I hope you join in and play! Be sure to link your creation with Inlinkz at the bottom of this post. I would love to see your creations~ Remember, there is a random WINNER at the end of the month for some great goodies!

Geometry Class – 4-18-12

What I love about this card is that it’s monochromatic.  I’ve said it time and again…green and yellow are the welcome mats for Spring.  No where is that more applicable than on a Mother’s Day Card.  I can’t WAIT to see how you use this sketch.  Now remember, you can flip it, reverse it and turn it up side down.  It’s yours to play with!

We’re adding a submission form below this post. Make up your card and post it on your blog (with a link to our blog of course *wink*). Submit your card by adding it below. Make sure to post it to the actual blog post and not just your general blog address. You have until 11:58 on the last day of the month to upload any challenge entries.

We will randomly choose a winner from each month’s submissions to win a prize package from Stamp School.

Geometry Room Sketch Challenge 04/04/12

Hi everyone!  Amber here from The Country Scrapper to teach this week’s Geometry Class.  I have been so inspired by the April release from Stamp School.  Tonite I’m sharing a very fun sketch that is super easy to follow.

A very simple sketch….but there’s so much you can do to dress it up.  Take a look at my card:

One of my favorite techniques is stamping a coordinating ink color on to matching card stock.  For this card I started with a Razzleberry (hot pink) card stock base.  I then took a piece of lighter pink card stock (Bubblegum) and layered it on top.  I stamped my sentiment with the darling “Women In My Life” Sentiment Stamps.  I took a stamp from the “Flowers for Mom” Stamp Set and stamped it using Bubblegum Ink onto my Bubblegum Card Stock.  I cut 2 banners out of Banana Split Felt.  I added ribbon, a cameo, and pin.  I used Liquid Pearl at the bottom of my Bubblegum Card Stock for added shine.  I love the Springy colors that make up this card.

We’re adding a submission form below this post. Make up your card and post it on your blog (with a link to our blog of course). Submit your card by adding  a direct link to your card below. You have until 11:58 on the last day of the month to upload any challenge entries.

We will randomly choose a winner from each month’s submissions to win a prize package from Stamp School.

Geometry Class 3-21-12

Hello! Samantha here with a brand new sketch challenge.  Sometimes I just want a clean and simple card that I can make quickly, so I tried to come up with a sketch that would work well with that type of card. Here it is:

I love using black, white, and red together so I combined those colors with the above sketch  and this months newly released stamps, and this is what I came up with:

The words from To the Future are so elegant that they really need very little dressing up. The make a beautiful focal point for a clean and simple card.

We’re adding a submission form below this post. Make up your card and post it on your blog (with a link to our blog of course *wink*). Submit your card by adding it below. Make sure to post it to the actual blog post and not just your general blog address. You have until 11:58 on the last day of the month to upload any challenge entries.

I used some Stamp School Felt in the Razzleberry, Berrylicious and Blue Raspberry to create a little flower bow that can actually be detached and re-purposed for a gift or a hair accessory.

The 100lb cover weight Razzleberry cardstockmakes and excellent card base!
